Career Planning Seminar – Monday, Nov. 14th

Betsy Capes, certified career coach and founder of Capes Coaching, visits DnA on Monday, November 14th at 7:30pm for a Career Planning Seminar geared toward Directors.

Betsy Capes will speak to our Directors about how to take the vision we practice in our craft and extend it to our business. This seminar is open to Non-Members.

Little House on the Ferry

“Little House on the Ferry,” a new off-Broadway show directed by DnA’s Artistic Director Jeremy Wechter, opens November 3rd, 2011!

This Musical Comedy set on Fire Island will run for a limited engagement: Nov. 3rd – Nov. 20th at The American Theater of Actors 314 West 54th Street, 2nd Floor.

DnA Seeks Workshop Coordinator

Directors ‘n’ Actors (DnA) is seeking a new Coordinator! The position is a 6-month unpaid internship and observership perfect for an entry-level director.

Responsibilities include:
- Selecting 2-person scenes and casting them (from our database of actors) each week.
- Taking notes (if you have your own laptop, that’s a plus)
- Running the sessions by keeping the time and keeping things moving
- Assisting during special events
- Light administrative duties as needed

At the end of the 6 months, the Coordinator will become eligible for membership.

You MUST be available Monday evenings, 7-10pm, from Oct. 17th, 2011 until April 16th, 2012, excluding holidays. We count on our Coordinator to be the point person for group members and actors. Do not apply if you are not available.

Coordinator can expect to work no more than 7 hours per week: 3-hour workshops plus 2-3 hours prep time during the week. Workshops take place in lower Manhattan.

DnA Auditions – Monday, September 26th
